Bulls Coach Used Two Words To Describe 40-Point Loss On Tuesday

Chicago Bulls fans were shaking their heads when walking out of the United Center on Tuesday night because their team completely fell apart.

The Bulls were destroyed by the Detroit Pistons at home and lost 132-92.

Following this massive defeat, head coach Billy Donovan spoke with Scotty White and the press and was very honest about his feelings.

“It’s embarrassing,” Donovan said, per ClutchPoints.

Donovan said his team was taken down for many obvious reasons, including a physical one with which they have always struggled.

The Bulls didn’t have any answers during Tuesday’s game.

The Pistons just overwhelmed them with their size and speed and the Bulls couldn’t keep up, consistently outplayed on both ends of the court and unable to slow them down or think outside the box.

The box score said it all: Matas Buzelis scored the most for Chicago with just 12 points.

Josh Giddey posted 11 points and everyone else was in the single digits.

Meanwhile, Malik Beasley had 24 points for the Pistons, while Cade Cunningham was right behind him with 20 points of his own.

Six Detroit players scored in double digits during the game but it felt like everyone contributed.

Donovan knows what stopped his team from winning.

He admitted that they have always had a problem when playing against very physical opponents.

He believes there is a way to combat that, but the Bulls didn’t get it done.

It’s up to him and his players to figure out how to avoid another loss like this.

Chicago sits as the 10th seed in the East with a 22-32 record but would love to climb higher.

They have struggled to find their identity for years, and Tuesday night was a prime example of that.
