Now that the New York Jets have decided to move on from Aaron Rodgers after two dismal seasons with him, there are sure to be a handful of teams that will be interested in his services.
While Rodgers’ best days are behind him, he could serve as a decent stopgap solution for a team that is hungry for an adequate player at the quarterback position.
With Matthew Stafford’s future as a member of the Los Angeles Rams in question, Colin Cowherd said on “The Herd w/ Colin Cowherd” that the Rams would present Rodgers with an opportunity to resurrect his career.
“The idea of playing in that system with that coach would appeal to anybody,” Cowherd said.

While Rodgers is clearly past his prime, there are those who feel he still has one year of decent football left in him after he posted 3,762 passing yards and 20 touchdown passes this season.
The Rams do have some talented skill players, including wide receivers Cooper Kupp and Puka Nucua and running back Kyren Williams, as well as some young studs on defense.
Sean McVay, their head coach, has long been regarded as an offensive wizard, and perhaps he could get the most out of Rodgers.
However, there is the matter of Rodgers’ off-the-field baggage and the way he allegedly tries to passive-aggressively dictate his team’s affairs, and one has to wonder if L.A. wants to deal with that.
The team went 10-7 this season and finished first in the NFC West before losing in the divisional round to the eventual Super Bowl champion Philadelphia Eagles, and one has to believe it isn’t too far away from becoming a contender.
