In just a few months, NBA fans will see the new class of rookies in the upcoming draft.
There will be a lot of talent coming into the league, but one young player is ahead of the rest of the competition.
Speaking on ESPN, Jonathan Givony said that Duke star Cooper Flagg has a “stranglehold” on the top spot in this year’s draft.
At just 18 years old, Flagg is dominating on both ends of the court, and there is a reason why he’s “emerged as the best player in college basketball.”
At this point, it would be a wild shock if Flagg isn’t the No. 1 pick in this year’s draft.

Givony showcased a couple of moments that highlight Flagg’s power and potential.
Not only is he capable of angling his way past the defense and finding the basket even when being targeted by multiple players, but Flagg can also play strong defense, steal the ball, and commit excellent assists too.
It doesn’t matter what his team needs, Flagg is always capable and ready.
He has been the top name in this draft class for months, and remains a hot commodity.
Still, we aren’t sure which team will be lucky enough to secure Flagg this June.
One might expect to see more teams tanking so they have better odds of getting Flagg but not many squads have thrown in the towel.
That means a number of front offices are in the mix and might walk away with Flagg this summer.
Analysts and fans are ready to see Flagg in the league because they truly believe he could be a game-changer.
