Charles Barkley Is Celebrating Special Day On Thursday

Charles Barkley had one of the most memorable NBA careers ever and is still considered a legend of the game.

He has a lot to celebrate, but on Thursday he was focusing on his birthday.

NBA History gave a special shout-out to Barkley on X because Thursday is his 62nd birthday.

The former MVP has a lot to be thankful for and is still cherished by the league he dominated for so many years.

Barkley entered the league back in 1984 after being the fifth overall pick in the draft.

He got his start with the Philadelphia 76ers and also famously played for the Phoenix Suns and finally the Houston Rockets.

During his 16 years in the NBA, Barkley averaged 22.1 points and 11.7 rebounds and earned a slew of accolades.

He was an 11-time All-Star, a rebounding champion, and is now a member of the NBA 75th Anniversary Team and Hall of Fame.

Old-school fans will remember the way he overpowered his opponents and trash-talked anyone who got in his way, but modern basketball lovers know Barkley for his opinion and analysis of the NBA.

Barkley is a major part of “Inside the NBA,” which has become the most popular sports show in the United States.

That show was recently given a second life after TNT and ESPN negotiated a new deal for the next season after the league made a new broadcasting agreement.

Barkley’s future with the show isn’t entirely clear, but we know that we will still get his special brand of humor, personality, and insight for years to come.
