On Sunday, the stars of the NASCAR Cup Series will take on the Atlanta Motor Speedway in the second race of the season.
Ahead of Sunday’s Ambetter Health 400, here are five storylines to follow:
Favorite: Joey Logano, No. 22 Ford Mustang Dark Horse, Team Penske
Logano is tied with Team Penske teammate Ryan Blaney for the best odds to win Sunday (+850, per DraftKings). He has been one of the best superspeedway racers in the sport since joining Team Penske in 2013, and has won two of the past four races at Atlanta. Logano led 43 laps and won Stage 1 in the Daytona 500, and there’s no reason to think he won’t be a contender Sunday.
Underdog to watch: Corey LaJoie, No. 01 Ford Mustang Dark Horse, Rick Ware Racing
You’ll have to scroll awhile before finding LaJoie on the odds list. The part-time driver is +5500 to win Sunday (per DraftKings). LaJoie was leading the Daytona 500 with eight laps to go and nearly won at Atlanta in July 2022 before being passed by Chase Elliott with two laps to go. If you’re in need of a value pick Sunday, LaJoie is your guy.
Can Atlanta live up to its three-wide legacy?
