All Blacks and Blues winger Caleb Clarke has admitted to dangerous driving and failing to stop for police in Auckland.

Clarke, who started played nine times for the All Blacks in 2024 and won the Super Rugby title, was excused from attending Monday’s hearing at Auckland District Court. He has played 29 Tests since 2020

Defence lawyer Rowan Butler entered the pleas on Clarke’s behalf, reported the New Zealand Herald.

Court documents stated Clarke was on State Highway 16 in Mt Albert on December 3 when his driving attracted police attention.

Further details of the offending, including the agreed summary of facts, have not yet been released, the Herald reported.

It reported that Clarke could face up to three months’ imprisonment for driving in a dangerous manner, along with a $NZ4500 fine. Failing to stop for police while exceeding the speed limit is punishable by a fine of up to $NZ10,000.

A sentencing date was set for June, at which point Clarke is expected to appear in court.
