Skip Bayless has never been one to mince words, and perhaps that is partly why the sports media juggernaut has found himself without a partner or a platform to shout his takes at these days.
Luckily for him, the internet exists, so there’s always a way to fire off a take, which is exactly what he did Sunday morning when he took aim at his most common target.
In a 13-minute rant like only he could cook up, Bayless ripped into the Los Angeles Lakers on Sunday and said he was “stunned” by what he just watched on Saturday night after the Lakers blew out the Denver Nuggets in Denver 123-100, citing how good the Lakers were because of Luka Doncic running the show down the stretch while LeBron James played “1A” to him.

Bayless pointed out that Denver had been on a nine-game winning streak and that the Lakers have struggled in recent years against this team, most notably losing eight of their past nine playoff games to them.
This was the first game since the trade where Luka looked like Luka, as he posted 32 points on 10-for-22 shooting to go along with ten rebounds, seven assists, four steals, and just one turnover.
While this was Bayless’ latest chapter in his neverending journey of hating on LeBron, there is no shame in deferring to a guy like Luka, especially when LeBron is 40 years old and has been openly trying to transition to more of a deferential role for years.
The problem was that he hadn’t had a teammate he could defer to in big moments and trust to run the show.
Now, he does.
