The Los Angeles Rams could be on the verge of hitting the proverbial reset button.
They have risen from the ashes of a dismal Super Bowl title defense in 2022 to win 10 games and make the playoffs in both of the last two seasons, but it was revealed that they’re looking to trade veteran wide receiver Cooper Kupp, and now, they’re letting quarterback Matthew Stafford’s agent talk to other teams about a potential trade.
Whether to trade Stafford will be a difficult decision for Los Angeles to make — on one hand, he recently turned 37 years of age, but he is still an effective quarterback who may have another couple of productive years left in him.
Colin Cowherd said on “The Herd w/ Colin Cowherd” that L.A. should hold onto Stafford and maximize the roster they have.
“Rams for the next two years with Stafford are in the Super Bowl bubble… For him to leave that would be a huge mistake.”

After they won the Vince Lombardi Trophy in the 2021 season, the Rams stumbled hard and won just five games in 2022, partly because Stafford was limited to nine games due to multiple injuries.
But they have drafted well over the last few years, and they now have a roster that boasts several young and promising studs, including running back Kyren Williams, wide receiver Puka Nacua and pass rushers Kobie Turner, Jared Verse and Braden Fiske.
If Stafford does leave, however, the Rams could land on their feet somewhat, as there is a rumor that Aaron Rodgers could end up with them, possibly alongside star wide receiver Davante Adams.
