Luka Doncic Had Honest Admission After Big Performance Against Mavs

The last several weeks have been a complete whirlwind for Luka Doncic, but life might be getting back to normal.

On Tuesday night, Doncic played against his former team, the Dallas Mavericks.

The entire NBA was paying close attention to Doncic and how he performed, and he knew the pressure was on.

Following his win over the Mavericks, Doncic was honest about his plans.

“I’m going straight to sleep. I haven’t slept,” Doncic said with a sly smile as he headed to the locker room, per NBA on X.

Some people thought Doncic would go for 50 points during Tuesday’s game, while others assumed he’d put up 30 to 40 points.

In the end, he had a very respectable and impactful 19 points, 15 rebounds, and 12 assists, which was his first triple-double with the Los Angeles Lakers.

Doncic has made no secret of his shock and anger about the trade that sent him to Los Angeles, but he holds nothing against his former teammates.

That is why he was very friendly with Kyrie Irving, PJ Washington, Klay Thompson, and the rest of the Mavs squad.

It was an exciting night, but surely an emotional one for Doncic, especially considering that none of this seemed possible just a month ago.

No one is blaming Doncic for being tired and wanting some rest.

He is going to need it because his Lakers are now the fourth-best team in the West and surely headed to the playoffs unless something truly unexpected happens.

Tuesday’s game was a big one, but the Lakers are surging lately, and that means there will be many more ahead, so Doncic needs all the rest and relaxation he can get.
