“It appeared to me that it wasn’t a good landing so hopefully it’s not bad enough to keep him out of the next game,” said Reyes.

“It doesn’t look good but we’ll find out more. I’m sure our medical staff will be hard at work tonight to give us a prognosis.”

The reigning Governors’ Cup Finals MVP was able to walk it off and head to the team dugout. He finished with 13 points, five rebounds and five assists.
The Tropang Giga’s medical staff, though, deemed it better to have Castro’s injury checked immediately, stretchering him out of the venue while TNT took the 93-91 win over Rain or Shine.

As someone who’s been with Castro for so long, Reyes said he’s not only worried about the point guard’s probability of returning to the series but also his wellbeing in general.
“It’s very concerning from my standpoint, not only for this series but for his well being long term, including his physical fitness and health,” said Reyes, referring to the 38-year-old floor general.
“The only thing we can do now is hope and pray.”
Time will tell if Castro can suit up for TNT in Game 3 of the semis against the Elasto Painters on Sunday at Araneta Coliseum.
