Luka Doncic Has Honest Admission About His Recent Performances

Luka Doncic has now played six games for the Los Angeles Lakers and has injected a lot of excitement and life into the team.

But, according to him, he isn’t doing enough.

Following Thursday’s win over the Minnesota Timberwolves, Doncic got honest about his work with the Lakers so far.

“I’m playing horrible so I gotta get back to it,” Doncic said, per Legion Hoops.

Many fans won’t agree with Doncic’s assessment, but they are excited to see him play even better in the days and weeks ahead.

During Thursday’s game, Doncic posted 21 points, 13 rebounds, and five assists.

He was 6-of-20 from the field and a painful 1-of-9 from beyond the three-point line.

Since coming to the Lakers, his average has been 19.0 points, 9.0 rebounds, and 7.0 assists on 38.1 percent from the field and 25.0 percent from three.

Those numbers might not be as high as what Doncic is used to, but he should be patient because the last few weeks have been a lot for him.

Not only was he part of the biggest trade in recent NBA history, but he was also recovering from a pretty serious injury that had him off the court for more than a month.

Adjusting takes time, and Doncic should try to remember that.

Fans are giving Doncic time because they all believe that brighter days are ahead.

He has shown many glimpses of his regular self and has had a few great moments with the Lakers.

But Doncic and fans know that he will keep getting better and better, although it may take some time.

They don’t agree that he’s playing “horrible,” but they know he will keep improving.
