The Phoenix Suns are not having anything close to the amount of success that many thought they would heading into this NBA season as they are currently on the outside looking in on the playoff picture with a 28-32 record as the 11th seed in the Western Conference.
Plenty of recent reports suggest a fractured locker room could be a huge reason why the team has severely underachieved, but Royce O’Neale’s recent news should hopefully inject a little positivity into this lifeless franchise.
O’Neale shared on Instagram that he and his girlfriend, Paige Hurd, are now engaged.

The happy couple started dating in early 2024 and got engaged just before the All-Star break on February 13th, which Hurd said was a surprise and something she didn’t see coming.
O’Neale must be feeling good off the court because it has reflected in his on-court performance as he is shooting a career-high 41.9 percent from three-point range this season on a career-high 5.9 attempts per game while enjoying open looks alongside Devin Booker, Kevin Durant, and Bradley Beal.
The 9.8 points per game he is averaging is also a career-high, and he is making good on Phoenix’s investment in the first year of the 4-year, $42 million contract he signed this past offseason.
O’Neale’s career year, new contract, and now his engagement are all great things in his life, and perhaps he can now step into this locker room with a higher purpose and help get this team back on track.
Congrats to the happy couple, and hopefully, the good vibes rub off on the Suns.
