Yankees’ Gerrit Cole remaining hopeful despite elbow injury

New York Yankees pitcher Gerrit Cole missed the first 75 games of the 2024 season because of a right elbow injury.

That same elbow is now threatening to cut into his 2025 season.

On Friday, it was reported that the 2023 Cy Young Award winner was having to undergo diagnostic tests on the elbow, which is his throwing elbow.

The imaging is now being circulated amongst trusted experts, and he is hoping for the best outcome.

“I’ve still got some hope. I’m just waiting for the experts to weigh in,” Cole said on Saturday, according to MLB.com Yankees reporter Bryan Hoch.
