Najee Harris has reportedly trucked his way to a new home.
Harris has recorded more than 1,000 rushing yards in each of his first four seasons, but the Pittsburgh Steelers declined to pick up the fifth-year option in his contract worth $6.7 million.
The hard-hitting running back has amassed the fifth-most rushing yards since 2021 with 4,312 and is 10th in yards per game with 63.4.
He will replace J.K. Dobbins in the Chargers’ backfield and again appears set to take on a big workload. Harris has yet to miss a game in his career and trails only Derrick Henry in carries since 2021.
The Chargers finished second in the AFC West behind the Kansas City Chiefs but were 17th in the league with just 1,882 team rushing yards.
Pittsburgh is now in search of a running back to pair with Jaylen Warren after it tendered an offer to the restricted free agent on March 10.
