Brian Windhorst Responds To LeBron James’ Comments About Him

Brian Windhorst is attempting to be a voice of reason in this current spat between LeBron James and the sports media.

Windhorst was the subject of some scorching opinions from James, who said that the media has “gotten away from the essence of the sport of basketball.”

He also said many other things and even had personal attacks against Windhorst himself.

Speaking on “First Take,” Windhorst said that the media can sometimes be out of balance and the goal should be to restore it.

He thinks that both players and press figures should work to discuss the drama of the NBA and the in-depth and essential fundamentals of the sport.

He said that all sides should “hold each other accountable” and added that petty “finger-pointing” is not going to help anyone.

Windhorst’s approach was very mature and calm, and that is probably the way to end this argument.

Other people in the press, such as Stephen A. Smith, appear ready to continue this verbal battling, and he will probably have more to say soon.

Meanwhile, we don’t know if James will respond or if he will just keep to himself and move on.

Windhorst wants the media to cover the NBA and give knowledgeable and expert analysis about on-court performances.

But he also thinks that fans want more than that.

They wish to hear about how players perform, but also want to know the drama that goes on behind the scenes and off-court.

Relying too heavily on either approach isn’t the right call, Windhorst said.

It’ll be interesting to see if this is the end of this conflict or just the beginning.
