Jacobs trounces Korea for third straight win to start men’s curling worlds

Canada’s Brad Jacobs beat South Korea’s Hyojun Kim 9-3 to remain unbeaten at the BKT World Men’s Curling Championship.

Jacobs opened with a three-ender and never trailed in the eight-end victory.

The Calgary-based team, which includes vice Marc Kennedy, second Brett Gallant and lead Ben Hebert, has won its first three round-robin games.

Another draw is scheduled for the evening at the Temple Gardens Centre.

Canada will return to the ice Monday afternoon against top-ranked Bruce Mouat of Scotland.
