The New England Patriots’ aggressive offseason strategy has turned heads across the NFL.
Armed with a war chest of salary cap space, the organization has methodically addressed needs and roster depth through strategic signings of Carlton Davis, Milton Williams and Mack Hollins.
As their spending spree approaches its conclusion, attention now pivots to additional avenues for improvement through the 2025 NFL Draft and potential trades.
Despite their productive offseason so far, two critical areas remain in need of an upgrade for New England.
The Patriots lack a wide receiver to adequately complement newcomer Stefon Diggs, and the left side of their offensive line continues to raise questions.
Interestingly, oddsmakers have taken notice of one potential solution.
“The New England Patriots are the favorites to trade for [New Orleans] Saints WR Chris Olave if NOLA trades them, per Bovada Official,” MLFootball wrote on X.

While the upcoming draft offers potential solutions, its unpredictable nature makes a guarantee impossible.
This uncertainty has fueled speculation about a potential trade, though it is unclear what the Patriots would send to the Saints in exchange for Olave.
Such a move would immediately solve a pressing issue, providing a younger top receiver to provide another viable target for quarterback Drake Maye.
Olave faced health challenges last season, appearing in just eight games due to concussion issues. Despite this limited action, he contributed 32 receptions for 400 yards and one touchdown catch.
When healthy, his talent is undeniable, evidenced by back-to-back 1,000-yard seasons to begin his NFL career, including 1,123 yards in 2023.
