Bengals Will Visit With Top RB Prospect On Wednesday

The Cincinnati Bengals want to add more firepower on the ground.

Chase Brown was solid and stepped up after they parted ways with Joe Mixon, but it seems like they’re not fully satisfied with their current RB room.

That’s why they will meet with Ohio State standout Quinshon Judkins, according to a report by Ian Rapoport of the NFL Network.

This will be their second meeting with a high-end running back prospect, as they already met with projected top-ten pick Ashton Jeanty.

They will also reportedly meet with fellow Buckeye TreVeyon Henderson.

Needless to say, that makes sense, given that both Judkins and Henderson are local prospects, so they won’t count as top 30 visitors, but still, it speaks volumes about their desire to get better on the ground.

Zack Moss sustained a season-ending neck injury, and his future is still up in the air.

They traded for Khalil Herbert and then added more help midway through the season, but Brown remained the undisputed No. 1 back.

Judkins and Henderson were among the deadliest running back tandems in college football last season, and they were instrumental in leading the Buckeyes to the national championship.

Jeanty isn’t likely to be available by the time they’re on the clock at No. 17, but if they’re so eager to bolster the running backs corps, they could likely get any of the Ohio State guys there.

Then again, given how much their defense underperformed last season, perhaps they will be better off taking a defensive-oriented player instead.
