The Indiana Pacers beat the Cleveland Cavaliers on Thursday, earning their sixth win in a row and their 49th for the season.
As noted by NBA on ESPN, that’s their highest number of wins since the 2013-14 season.
On top of that, the Pacers also locked up a top-four seed in the playoffs and will have home-court advantage to start the postseason.

Since March 31, the Pacers have defeated the Sacramento Kings, Charlotte Hornets, Utah Jazz, Denver Nuggets, Washington Wizards, and now the Cavaliers.
Their final two games of the regular season are against the Orlando Magic and the Cavaliers one more time.
What are the chances of them going 8-0 to end the season?
Some people counted the Pacers out this year, and they did indeed have a few rough patches along the way.
They lost four of their first six games in 2024-25, and some people were worried that they’d be far worse than they were last year.
As a reminder, the Pacers went all the way to the Eastern Conference Finals last season, where they lost to the eventual champions, the Boston Celtics.
This season ended up being a robust one for Indiana, and they are doing very well as things come to a close.
That means they could surge into the playoffs, full of confidence and a string of powerful wins.
If the playoffs started today, the Pacers would battle the Milwaukee Bucks in the opening round.
Indiana wants to go all the way to the Finals this year, and many fans think they could be sneaky underdogs who surprise everyone.
The numbers prove they haven’t been this good in a long time.
