The Philadelphia Eagles have been assembling a roster filled with motivated players on prove-it deals this offseason.
While most headlines have focused on their defensive acquisitions, general manager Howie Roseman has continued his methodical approach to building depth across the board.
Now, the Eagles have added another intriguing piece to their offense, as a former second-round pick with untapped potential has found a new home in Philadelphia.
“The Eagles have agreed to terms with WR Terrace Marshall Jr., sources say, as the former [Carolina] Panthers, [San Francisco] 49ers and [Las Vegas] Raiders WR gets a 1-year deal,” NFL Network insider Ian Rapoport wrote on X.

Despite already boasting considerable talent at wide receiver, the Eagles apparently aren’t satisfied with their current depth chart.
Marshall’s NFL career has been a winding road filled with setbacks and fresh starts. After the Panthers waived him following two disappointing seasons, he bounced to the 49ers’ practice squad before finishing last season with the Raiders.
His production has been minimal, with three catches for 41 yards in seven games last season.
Yet at 24 years old, the second-round selection from the 2021 NFL Draft carries the physical tools that made him a coveted prospect coming out of LSU.
In Philadelphia, he’ll join a loaded receiver group headlined by the formidable trio of A.J. Brown, DeVonta Smith and Jahan Dotson.
The competition for the fourth and fifth receiver spots promises to be fierce, with Marshall likely battling Johnny Wilson and Ainias Smith for playing time.
The signing comes amid some turnover in the Eagles’ receiver corps, as Parris Campbell departed for the rival Dallas Cowboys and Britain Covey remains unsigned.
