The 2025 NFL Draft has some intriguing and talented prospects who can propel teams forward in the coming years.
On defense, there are several players who could hear their names called early in the first round.
The main prizes are Abdul Carter and Travis Hunter, the consensus best pass rusher and defensive back in the draft, respectively.
However, after those two, there are numerous players worthy of a top-10 pick.
For example, Mason Graham is considered the best defensive tackle in the class due to his speed, motor, strength and football IQ.
However, analyst Greg Cosell of NFL Films has some concerns about Graham.
“He doesn’t really get to the quarterback that much. I mean he does, at times obviously, but he needs to work on his pass rush traits, which at this point are not really there,” Cosell said, via the “Ross Tucker Podcast.”

As Cosell explains, Graham is a disruptive lineman who wins mostly because of his speed and technique.
However, in the NFL, he could struggle to generate pressure against bigger and more experienced offensive linemen.
Graham also doesn’t have the biggest frame or longest arms, creating even more pessimism that he’ll be able to impact the game the same way he did at Michigan.
However, this happens all the time with prospects, and the positives often outweigh the negatives, so it would be wise for teams not to put too much stock into what Graham doesn’t do well.
Overall, Graham would be a huge help for any team, and it’ll be interesting to see which one takes the gamble.
