One of the biggest rumors of the ongoing NFL offseason has involved the perception that free-agent quarterback Aaron Rodgers hasn’t yet signed with the Pittsburgh Steelers for one reason.
The supposed reason? He truly wants to join a Minnesota Vikings team that will spend the spring evaluating where 2024 first-round draft pick J.J. McCarthy is in his recovery from the full meniscus repair that cost him his rookie season.
During a Thursday appearance on “The Pat McAfee Show,” Rodgers insisted that suggestions indicating he’s waiting to hear back from the Vikings are inaccurate. The future Hall of Famer is close with Vikings head coach Kevin O’Connell, and it’s no secret the two have talked since Rodgers took his last meaningful in-game snap as a member of the New York Jets this past January:
