Caleb Williams Spotted At NBA Game On Wednesday

When an NFL team invests the No. 1 overall pick on a player, they’re putting all their eggs in one basket, so to speak.

No. 1 overall selections have a checkered past, with some players turning out to be well worth the selection, while others have been busts that teams would rather not talk about.

The Chicago Bears had a lot of faith in Caleb Williams during the 2024 NFL Draft, believing he could be the franchise starter that they have been looking for over the past several decades.

Williams was a prolific player in college, but the jury is still out on his NFL upside after a rookie season that left something to be desired.

There’s still plenty of hope for Williams, of course, as Rome wasn’t built in a day, and some players need longer than others to adjust to the NFL.

He’s seemingly doing all of the right things during the offseason, which includes appeasing the Chicago-based fanbase, as Adam Schefter highlighted on X.

Williams was seen at the Chicago Bulls’ playoff game, signing a football and throwing it into the crowd for one lucky fan to take home as a souvenir.

This appearance certainly gave Williams some favor within the fanbase, hopefully quelling any doubts that people had about him moving forward.

While Year 1 wasn’t as prolific as some might have hoped, the Bears have spent the offseason retooling their roster for the future, which will hopefully give Williams more confidence in himself, which would, in turn, give this team a better outlook on their standing in the NFC North.
