The Memphis Grizzlies overpowered the Dallas Mavericks on Friday night, paving the way for them to enter the playoffs this weekend.
The team scored a 120-106 win, even though their star player was hurt.
Following the game, Ja Morant talked to “SportsCenter” about his injured ankle and said he “couldn’t feel it” during the game, which is “why I was out there.”
Morant said all of this with a smile on his face, so he doesn’t seem concerned about his ankle, but Grizzlies fans are.
“Couldn’t feel it, that’s why I was out there.” 😅

Morant was a game-time decision for the Grizzlies, and there were concerns that he wouldn’t play at all.
He had rolled his ankle in the previous game and was consistently limping.
In the end, he was able to push through and take on Dallas, posting 22 points, seven rebounds, and nine assists.
Now that Dallas is out of the way, the next team will be the Oklahoma City Thunder.
Everyone knows that will be a very hard series for the Grizzlies, so they want Morant in great health.
Is that possible?
Is his ankle getting better, or is this time on the court only making matters worse?
He was receiving injections in his ankle prior to Friday’s game and was only able to play because he literally could not feel that part of his body.
That is concerning news for Memphis fans, especially since Morant has faced several injuries this year.
Morant and his team will be in Oklahoma City on Sunday, ready to start the series and hoping to win a road game.
Hopefully, Morant spends all of Saturday off his feet and healing, or else this problem may not go away.
