The season came to an end for the Dallas Mavericks on Friday night, as they lost their Play-In game against the Memphis Grizzlies.
It has been a long, tortured, complicated season for the Mavericks, and head coach Jason Kidd spoke about it with the press following the game.
He was happy about how his team did despite the many challenges.
“An incredible season when you look at the injuries that we’ve had. The change. For us to even be here playing in this game tonight, it’s incredible. It just shows the character of that group & that locker room…With the change & injuries, some would say we shouldn’t even be here. Give those guys in that locker room a lot of credit,” Kidd said, per Mike Curtis.

“Incredible” is one way to put it, although many fans may use the word “horrible.”
The season was plagued with problems, from the massive Luka Doncic trade to the several injuries that decimated the roster.
The team definitely limped to the finish line this year, and there are a lot of worries and concerns about what will come next.
Will general manager Nico Harrison attempt to get the team back on track and make monster trades in the summer?
Will the whole squad be healthy when the new season begins?
And will fans forgive the team for giving away Doncic?
There is real talent on the team, and they could be a Western Conference contender again, especially if they make a few tweaks.
The future might not be as dark as some people fear, but there is no doubt that this season has been one that many Mavericks fans would like to forget.
