Four different quarterbacks took snaps during the New York Giants’ 3-14 campaign, a carousel of inconsistency that ultimately spelled the end for Daniel Jones in New York.
With only one playoff appearance in eight years, the quarterback position remains an unsolved puzzle.
SNY’s Connor Hughes recently reported that he doesn’t see the Giants using their No. 3 pick on a quarterback.
Brian Daboll holds Jaxson Dart in incredibly high regard. With buzz growing around the Giants’ interest, there’s talk they could trade up in the draft to go get him.
“Jaxson Dart is a name to watch for the #Giants as a trade-up option on Thursday. Sources I touched base with said he’s someone Brian Daboll is high on — most out of QBs other than Cam Ward. Among qualities Daboll values in QBs is toughness. Dart has that,” Hughes wrote on X.

The Giants aren’t sitting idle in the quarterback market, but they’ll face stiff competition from several quarterback-hungry teams.
How aggressive they’re willing to be could determine their success in landing their target.
Interestingly, the Shedeur Sanders connection that dominated December discussions has cooled considerably, with little current buzz linking him to New York.
The draft arsenal at the New York Giants’ disposal includes picks No. 34, 65, and 99—all valuable selections within the top 100—plus an additional pick at No. 105.
This gives them ammunition for a potential move up the board, which might prove necessary if they’re serious about Dart.
Most mock drafts place him around No. 21 to Pittsburgh, suggesting the Giants would need to leap into the top 20 to secure his services.
For a franchise desperate to find stability at the game’s most important position, the coming draft could represent their best chance to change course after years of quarterback frustration.
