Another day full of Major League Baseball has wrapped up, and much like Tuesday’s action, excellent pitching was the theme of the night. 

With the games came star performances, so here are four from Wednesday’s action.

Reese Olson, SP, Detroit Tigers

Olson turned in his best outing of the season on Wednesday, going 7 1/3 shutout innings against a high-powered San Diego Padres offense.

Olson allowed just two hits and struck out seven in his start and lowered his season ERA down to a 3.29 for the season. His emergence has given Detroit one of the best rotations in all of baseball.
