MANILA, Philippines—Binh Dien Long An-Vietnam continued to roll in the 2025 AVC Women’s Champions League.
The Vietnamese squad outlasted Taipower-Chinese Taipei in four sets, 25-20, 18-25, 25-22, 28-26, to inch closer to the Champions League championship on Friday at Philsports Arena in Pasig.
Thi Phuong Lu headlined the Binh Dien Long An victory with 19 points built on 17 successful attacks and two blocks. Thi Nhu Quynh Vi also helped the cause with 18 points to her name.
However, it was Thi Thanh Thuy Tran who shone both on the offense and defensive end for the Vietnamese squad as she finished with 14 points built on three blocks to push Binh Dien Long An closer to the inaugural crown.

On the other end, Wan-Yun Hsu poured in 20 points for Taipower but to no avail.
The troika of Yu-Chun Tsai, Xiao-Pei Hu and Hsin-Yu Huang also contributed 14, 11 and 10 points, respectively, but it wasn’t enough to keep the Chinese Taipei squad alive for title contention.
Up next for Binh Dien Long An in the semifinal game will be the winner of the match between Petro Gazz, the only remaining Philippine team in content, or BAIC Motor Volleyball Club-China.
On the other bracket of the semis, the cast is set for Zhetysu VC-Kazakhstan and Nakhon Ratchasima Qmin-Thailand, who defeated PLDT and Creamline, respectively, on Thursday.
Semifinals action rolls on Saturday at the same venue.
