Shedeur Sanders fell out of the first round of the NFL Draft, and it is safe to say his Hall of Fame father did not see that coming.
Deion Sanders said for months leading up to the draft that both Shedeur and former Colorado star Travis Hunter would be top-five picks. That was true for Hunter, and the Jacksonville Jaguars mortgaged their future to move up to No. 2 overall for the Heisman Trophy winner. Shedeur, however, fell out of the first round altogether.
After the first 32 picks were in the books, Deion had an embarrassing Community Notes update slapped on his X post from last year.
While responding to a troll in May, Deion confidently said Shedeur was going to “be a top 5 pick.” That post has now been updated with a Community Note that says “Shedeur Sanders was not a top 5 draft pick.”
