Dan Orlovsky Names The Biggest Winners From NFL Draft

The 2025 NFL Draft has come and gone, and there was a lot to dissect over the action-packed three days, as all 32 teams are now hoping they have a batch of new stars to add to their rosters.

For the media, it is now grading season, as it reacts to every pick with ideas of who is going to be great and who isn’t.

ESPN analyst Dan Orlovsky recently provided his biggest winners and losers, and he is a big fan of what a couple of high-profile teams were able to do.

“I really like both New York teams. I really do. … I thought the [New York] Giants won the draft and it felt like in a day and a half changed the whole perception of where they are as an organization. … It just looks like competency. It looks like hope. It looks like they have a plan moving forward,” Orlovsky said on “The Rich Eisen Show.”

Orlovsky also praised the New York Jets for their first two picks: offensive tackle Armand Membou at No. 7 overall and tight end Mason Taylor in the second round.

The Giants were in need of a strong showing, and they exited the first round with edge rusher Abdul Carter, who many considered the best player in the draft, as well as quarterback Jaxson Dart, who could be the long-term solution at the position.

They later added running back Cam Skattebo and linemen Darius Alexander and Marcus Mbow for some much-needed toughness.

There is a lot to like from both New York teams, and neither has gotten quite enough attention for quietly putting together strong draft classes that could go a long way toward turning each franchise around.
