With 27 points and 24 rebounds in the Minnesota Timberwolves‘ series clinching victory over the Los Angeles Lakers, Rudy Gobert officially has his revenge on Luka Doncic. After repeatedly being made to look silly by Doncic in the playoffs last season, Gobert was the dominant force in the Wolves 103-96 victory. Gobert was a menace on both the offensive and defensive glass – recording more offensive rebound (nine) than the entire Lakers roster (eight) and scoring immediately off four of those boards himself.
“Rudy’s a winner at the highest level. He drives winning,” head coach Chris Finch said after the scintillating performance.
“You can not like who he is, how he does it, what he looks like etc. When you have this guy on your team, you understand what a professional and a winner is.”
Which brings us to today’s quiz. Gobert made NBA history in the win, becoming the first ever to go for 25/20 while shooting 80 percent or better from the floor in a series clincher.
