Steve Kerr Believes 1 Warriors Star Is Among ‘Clutch Performers’ In NBA

The Golden State Warriors will face Game 7 on Sunday against the Houston Rockets, and, according to head coach Steve Kerr, they are ready for it.

Speaking with ESPN, Kerr talked about his team’s chances and the power and expertise that Jimmy Butler is bringing.

He called Butler “clutch” and said that his squad will be “ready to roll” for Game 7 in Houston.

“We’ve been in a lot of Game 7s, had a lot of success. Jimmy Butler is Jimmy Butler. He’s been in all of these games. He’s one of the clutch performers in the league, so … we’ll get ready. We’ll regroup, be ready to roll,” Kerr said.

Butler does have plenty of postseason experience and holds a 2-2 record in Game 7s throughout his career.

He has become a crucial part of the Warriors’ lineup since joining the team back in February.

He has averaged 17.9 points, 5.5 rebounds, and 5.9 assists per game since his arrival in Golden State and has put up 18.0 points, 5.6 rebounds, and 4.4 assists during this playoff run.

Kerr said that Butler is clutch, and that is exactly what the Warriors will need from him.

Butler himself said that he needs to be more aggressive and fight harder for his team.

That needs to be true for all the Warriors, because the team was lacking confidence and drive throughout Friday’s game.

Instead, they deferred too often, and it felt like the Rockets were running the tempo of the game.

That can’t be the case in Game 7, and Kerr wants to see his team play like the experienced experts they are.

They have been here before, so can the Warriors finally put the Rockets away on Sunday?
