The New York Jets continue building their roster with familiar connections, adding more Missouri talent after selecting tackle Armand Membou in the first round.
Quarterback Brady Cook, another Missouri standout, now headlines the undrafted rookie free agent class.
He joins 14 other signees ahead of Friday’s rookie minicamp, entering a quarterback room that features Justin Fields, Tyrod Taylor, and Adrian Martinez.

Cook concludes his five-year Missouri career with impressive credentials. The 23-year-old appeared in 47 games, displaying consistent accuracy by completing nearly 66% of his passes for over 9,200 yards and 50 touchdowns against just 15 interceptions.
His dual-threat capabilities shine through his ground production, rushing for more than 1,200 yards while adding 21 rushing touchdowns.
The quarterback’s toughness left an indelible impression on teammates, particularly Membou, who admired Cook’s determination when he returned from a hospital visit midgame to secure a victory against Auburn.

Such resilience reveals character beyond statistical achievements.
Questions remain about whether the New York Jets will carry three quarterbacks on their final roster.
If they opt for that arrangement, the competition for the third spot intensifies between Cook and Adrian Martinez, creating an interesting subplot.
The two quarterbacks have crossed paths before, facing off in 2022 when Martinez played for Kansas State. Their rivalry now continues in New York, with a roster spot hanging in the balance.
