Aaron Gordon Sends Encouraging Message About Nuggets After Big Win

The Denver Nuggets are doing the seemingly impossible: they are making the Oklahoma City Thunder look like underdogs.

Following his team’s massive 113-104 overtime win against the Thunder on Friday, Aaron Gordon spoke about Denver’s “growth.”

“It’s growth. It’s big growth from our team,” Gordon said. “A lot of guys stepped up. We played well. It shows us that we are a team, and that’s how we’ve always been. We need everybody on this squad.”

Gordon was once again a huge part of his team’s growth on Friday.

The Nuggets ended the game on a huge 14-2 run, which started with Gordon’s three-pointer with only 28 seconds left.

That was his third game-tying or go-ahead basket in the final 30 seconds of the quarter during these playoffs alone.

Nuggets fans have grown quite familiar with Gordon’s three-point shooting, which has greatly improved this year.

To his point, Gordon wasn’t the only one playing well in Friday’s game.

There were multiple stars, such as Jamal Murray and Michael Porter Jr., who also came together as a team.

Nikola Jokic was having an off night, but that ultimately didn’t matter because the Nuggets were able to rally without him.

This was the exact sort of game the Nuggets needed after their massive loss just days before.

They have their confidence back, and, more importantly, they now hold a series lead once again.

How will that affect their performances in Game 4?

The Nuggets will enter that game as favorites for a win, which is a huge accomplishment.

This statement from Gordon proves that the team knows they are doing well and believes they can take down the Thunder for good.
