It was the Julius Randle and Anthony Edwards show for the Minnesota Timberwolves on Saturday night in a 102-97 win over the Golden State Warriors, giving them a 2-1 lead in their second-round series. That duo has typically been the driving force behind Minnesota’s success this postseason, but they took it to an entirely different level of dominance on Saturday.
Randle logged a triple-double in the win, recording 24 points, 10 rebounds and 12 assists, while also adding three steals for good measure in his 40 minutes of basketball. He was also a team-best plus-14 when he was on the floor.
He is the first Timberwolves player to record a triple-double in a playoff game since Kevin Garnett more than 20 years ago.
