Much like TNT’s moniker, Poy Erram’s teammates served as his “Tropa” en route to the best offensive night of his career.
On Wednesday at Ynares Sports Center in Antipolo, the Tropang Giga took down Rain or Shine, 111-103, on the heels of Erram’s career-high scoring performance in the PBA Philippine Cup.
Instead of basking in his stellar shooting, Erram gave all the credit to his teammates, saying he wouldn’t have reached that mark without them looking for him.

“I just let the game come to me. The defense focused on Roger (Pogoy) and Calvin (Oftana), so I set good screens to get them open, but when the opponent doubled them, I ended up open,” said Erram. “It’s a big thing when you have teammates like that.”
In just 21 minutes of action, Erram poured in 31 points — the most in his career — while also tallying six rebounds, two steals, and two blocks.
It wasn’t just any 31-piece either. The veteran big man was highly efficient, going 10-of-12 from both the field and the free-throw line.
Erram’s breakout night also helped pave the way for Pogoy and Oftana to thrive, finishing with 35 and 28 points, respectively.
“They’re so unselfish. I’m lucky that my teammates look for me,” Erram said. “Also, I played good defense. By playing good defense, your offense will follow.”
TNT, now holding a 4-3 record, next faces NorthPort on Friday at Araneta Coliseum.
