Raiders Made 2 Roster Moves On Wednesday

The Las Vegas Raiders keep making moves to get better.

New head coach Pete Carroll will have his work cut out for him to take the team to the next level.

With that in mind, they’ve chosen to swap some pieces among their linebackers.

“We have signed LB Michael Barrett and waived LB Wesley Steiner,” the Raiders wrote on X.

The Raiders signed Steiner after their recent rookie minicamp but his time with the organization was short-lived.

Perhaps they will keep him on their radar and bring him back to the practice squad at some point.

Barrett was a seventh-round pick by the Carolina Panthers in the 2024 NFL Draft.

The Panthers traded him to the Seattle Seahawks for cornerback Michael Jackson and he spent time on the practice squads of the Seahawks, Cleveland Browns and Green Bay Packers.

He was active for the Packers’ regular-season finale but didn’t play a snap.

He will have to put in a lot of work to be considered for the Raiders’ final 53-man roster, and though it won’t be easy, there is always an opportunity on a rebuilding team.
