Fans of the Indiana Pacers have been paying close attention to their team all season, especially lately, as they have powered through the playoffs.
But even the most eagle-eyed followers haven’t seen a few players because they have been sitting out of games.
Writing on X, Evan Sidery noted that Benedict Mathurin and Jarace Walker are “not providing much on-court value.”
“Mathurin’s minutes are disappearing, while Walker can’t crack their rotation,” Sidery wrote.
“Have to wonder if Indiana packages both in a trade this summer for a win-now move,” he added.
The Pacers’ two recent lottery picks — Bennedict Mathurin and Jarace Walker — are not providing much on-court value.

Mathurin got just eight minutes on the court during Sunday’s game against the New York Knicks, posting only two points, two rebounds, and two assists.
For the season, he has averaged 16.1 points and 5.3 rebounds during his 72 games.
This was his third season in the league, and he actually played more minutes than usual, on the court for about 29 minutes per game, up from 26 last year.
And even though his point and rebound averages have gone up, Mathurin hasn’t been a huge help for the Pacers, and they could be looking to ship him away.
As for Walker, he hasn’t played since the team’s last series against the Cleveland Cavaliers.
In 2024-25, Walker averaged 6.1 points and 3.1 rebounds on 47.2 percent from the field during his 75 games.
The Pacers probably won’t change a lot this summer, especially if they are able to get to the Finals.
But every team, no matter how successful, contemplates adjustments during the offseason, and Indiana might try to find ways to let go of these two stars because this season has proven that they don’t need them.
