MANILA, Philippines — Alex Eala bowed out of the French Open doubles as she and Mexican partner Renata Zarazua were dominated by Olga Danilovic of Serbia and Anastasia Potapova of Russia, 1-6, 3-6, in the second round on Friday evening (Manila time) at Roland Garros Stadium.
Trailing 1-2, in the opening set, Eala and Zarazua had no answer for Danilovic and Potapova, won five straight games to draw the first blood.

Danilovic and Potapova unleashed a 4-0 start in the second set. Eala and Zarazua trimmed it down to a three-point deficit, 5-2, could never come closer as Danilovic and Potapova advanced to the third round.
The Filipino-Mexican pair had an impressive first round, overcoming Emily Appleton of Great Britain and Yvonne Cavalle-Reimers of Spain, 7-5, 6-4.
Eala finished her Roland Garros debut in singles with a first-round exit at the hands of Emiliana Arango of Colombia, 0-6, 6-2, 3-6.
