Insider Names 1 Pacers Player Who Needs To ‘Bounce Back’

The Indiana Pacers are attempting to put the New York Knicks away and earn their entry to the NBA Finals.

They hold a strong advantage, but that can go away if all of their stars don’t perform.

One of them needs to really step it up in the next game.

As noted by Evan Sidery on X, Andrew Nembhard has not been carrying his weight lately.

During the last three games, the Pacers have been outscored by 15.8 points per 100 possessions when Nembhard has been on the court.

He is putting up just 6.0 points during that span, shooting an atrocious 31.4 true shooting percentage.

“If Indiana wants to avoid a Game 7, Nembhard needs a huge bounce-back,” Nembhard wrote.

It’s not common to see Nembhard playing so poorly, and it needs to change quickly.

He averaged 10.0 points, 3.3 rebounds, and 5.0 assists on 45.8 percent from the field in 2024-25.

This is his third season with the Pacers, and his numbers have consistently improved year after year.

He is one of the many reasons the Pacers have been able to push this far in the playoffs, but he’s hit a rut lately.

The good news for the Pacers is that they have a lot of options.

Their depth is one of their strongest features, and they have shown they have great offense and defense.

Plus, they run a tempo that is hard to keep up with, and the Knicks have looked exhausted and confused at times.

The Pacers are still in control of this series, and they are the odds-on favorites to win and compete for a championship.

But there will be many questions about them if they give up the next game, and especially if Nembhard doesn’t have a noteworthy performance.
