Insider Reveals Timberwolves Will Keep Roster ‘Intact’ After Playoff Elimination

What will the Minnesota Timberwolves do this summer now that their postseason run ended in disappointment?

Will they ship away a few key players and try to add more talent?

Or will they run it back with the same crew?

Writing for The Athletic, Jon Krawczynski told Timberwolves fans they should expect to see the squad that competed in 2024-25.

“On the basketball side, things are expected to remain largely intact [for the Timberwolves], team sources said,” Krawczynski wrote.

Is this a good or a bad thing?

Obviously, Minnesota wants to keep Anthony Edwards, who is one of the best young players in the league and could continue to lead the team for years.

However, some fans think the T-Wolves should make adjustments around him.

While some of the big names, such as Rudy Gobert, are sure to stay, there are question marks surrounding others.

There is speculation that Naz Reid, for example, may venture into free agency this summer.

Even Julius Randle has people talking, and some followers of the team wouldn’t be shocked to see him leave.

This season had a lot of highs but also a lot of lows.

The team had hopes of going all the way to the Finals this year, and they were competitive in their first two rounds, but they just couldn’t get over the magnificent talent of the Oklahoma City Thunder.

But was that because of the roster or some other factors?

It sounds like the Timberwolves believe their roster is just fine, so they will attempt to keep it next season.

However, that doesn’t mean they’ll have better luck.
