Will Levis Reveals His Honest Thoughts On Cam Ward

The Tennessee Titans entered the offseason with significant questions surrounding their quarterback position after a disappointing campaign that landed them the top pick in the draft.

The franchise used that selection to bring in Miami’s Cam Ward, immediately shifting the dynamics within the quarterback room.

Will Levis, who transitioned from starter to backup following the team’s struggles, recently addressed the changing landscape during organized team activities.

His response to questions about Ward revealed a mature perspective on what could have been an awkward situation.

“He’s been great. I mean, I’m here for him wherever I can be. He is a really smart kid,” Levis told reporters. “We’ve been able to talk a lot about just the different installs that we’ve gone through and hearing his perspective, how he sees things. He’s a heck of an athlete, a heck of a quarterback, too.”

The candid remarks showcase a professional approach from Levis, who understands the business side of the NFL after experiencing his own draft setbacks.

Selected 33rd overall just two years ago, he now finds himself mentoring the player expected to eventually take over the starting role.

Tennessee’s quarterback room features an interesting blend of youth and veteran presence with Ward joining Levis alongside seasoned backups Brandon Allen and Tim Boyle.

Reports suggest Levis anticipated the team would address the position through the draft and wasn’t surprised by Ward’s arrival.

The former Kentucky quarterback is banking on continuity within the same offensive system for the first time since his Penn State days to help elevate his game.

Despite the challenges, Levis can draw inspiration from players like Geno Smith, who overcame early career struggles to secure an $88.5 million contract extension.

The Titans haven’t reached the playoffs since 2021, but the quarterback competition could provide the spark needed for their next chapter.
