Justin Allgaier swept the stages and held off a JR Motorsports teammate in Connor Zilisch to win Saturday’s NASCAR Xfinity Series race at Nashville Superspeedway.
Allgaier led 101 of 188 laps in the Tennessee Lottery 250 en route to his third win of the season, his second at Nashville and the 28th of his Xfinity Series career. Allgaier is now tied with Austin Hill for the most wins in the Xfinity Series this season.
Allgaier took the lead with a three-wide move on the final restart and held off Zilisch before driving away into the Tennessee sunset.
The win comes a week after Allgaier suffered a heartbreaking loss at Charlotte in overtime.
“These guys here deserve this one,” Allgaier told CW Sports. “I screwed them over last week by making a pit call. There’s no cooler feeling than a win.”
