MANILA, Philippines-The PBA finally gave the green light for TNT to acquire Jordan Heading from Converge in exchange for the rights to Mikey Williams.
The deal was made official Monday morning with the league making the announcement on its social media pages, five days after the two teams agreed on the one-for-one swap.

It was also on Wednesday that the trade papers were submitted to the league official, though it curiously took some time for the PBA to have it approved.
TNT can now move on from Williams after almost two years of on-and-off negotiations over a new contract. Williams has not played since 2023.
Williams and Converge may still need to work things out on a contract in order for the two-time Finals Most Valuable Player to finally make his PBA return.

In return, the Tropang 5G can now plot their way for Heading to contribute in the quest to win the Philippine Cup title and complete a rare Grand Slam.
But Heading has not played this conference due to a back injury, and the former Gilas Pilipinas mainstay isn’t sure if he’ll suit up this conference.
TNT’s next game is on Friday against Blackwater while Converge won’t play until June 11 opposite San Miguel Beer.
