Are we about to witness the dawning of a new NBA dynasty with the Oklahoma City Thunder?
The Thunder could soon be champions, capping a stunning rise through the Western Conference that has been years in the making.
Speaking on “Run It Back,” DeMarcus Cousins said that this really could be the beginning of something special, and OKC’s dynasty might be more impressive than the Golden State Warriors’.
“This is absolutely a start of a dynasty. It’s a dynasty that’ll be even more powerful than what we saw with the Warriors. The reason I say that [is because] when the Warriors were in their heyday and they had everything rolling, they never had the assets that this Thunder team has. This Thunder team is probably built to be successful for the next 10, 12 years, which is unheard of in the NBA,” Cousins said, via NBACentral.

That is a mighty big statement from Cousins, and Thunder fans hope he is right.
Oklahoma City has been putting this team together for years.
They have been doing it by accumulating a series of draft picks and also making smart trades that some people scoffed at.
This hasn’t happened overnight, and the success they find might last a long time.
They are the odds-on favorites to win the title this year, but what happens if they achieve that?
How many championships can they earn, and will they remain the most dominant team in the West?
They are young, they are healthy, and they still have plenty of draft picks to trade in order to get better.
The Thunder are already scary, but what makes them even more terrifying is that they could just be getting started.
