The Indiana Pacers are about to compete in the NBA Finals, which is a stunning achievement that shows just how talented and special they are.
Obviously, they would love to have the same lineup next season, no matter what happens in the Finals.
They might have to pay handsomely for that, but they are willing to.
According to Brian Windhorst, the Pacers are comfortable going into the luxury tax to keep their roster intact.
“From what I am told, the hope and belief and whatever is that ownership will greenlight them going a little bit into the tax for a little while,” Windhorst said, via Legion Hoops.

The Pacers have a great group of players who love working together and are finding great success.
The front office has assembled this team slowly and surely, cobbling together talent over the years instead of working on making a superteam.
Of course, that is costing them a lot, and it’ll cost them even more in the future.
That means they will hit the luxury tax, paying more for certain players.
But they are okay with that, and they will surely be even more comfortable spending a lot if they win a championship.
And even if they don’t, the Pacers’ front office knows that this group is remarkable, and they don’t want to mess that up.
They don’t want to lose a lot of talent, even in exchange for an A-list All-Star.
From Tyrese Haliburton to Myles Turner, Pascal Siakam, and more, the Pacers have a set of players who might be dominant for many years.
Yes, this team is going to get expensive, but the Pacers will gladly pick up the tab.
