Lions Star Says He Had Offseason Surgery

The Detroit Lions have undergone a resurgence in the past few seasons.

After years of middling football, head coach Dan Campbell has turned them into Super Bowl contenders.

Two seasons ago, Detroit went to the NFC Championship Game for the first time since 1991.

Last year, the Lions won 15 games before injuries derailed the season, which ended with an unexpected loss to the Washington Commanders in the divisional round.

Now, Campbell and his staff hope to make it through the 2025 season relatively healthy.

That’s why recent news from wide receiver Amon Ra St. Brown is worrisome.

“Lions WR Amon-Ra St. Brown says he underwent offseason knee surgery, should be ready for training camp,” Around The NFL wrote on X, via Ian Rapoport.

Ever since the Lions selected him in the fourth round of the 2021 NFL Draft, St. Brown has been one of the best pass-catchers in football, surpassing 1,000 yards in each of the past three seasons.

He’s also been one of the healthiest, missing just two games.

Last season, St. Brown started 17 games, made 115 catches for 1,263 yards, and scored a career-best 12 touchdowns.

During his short career, he has been named to three Pro Bowls and is a two-time All-Pro.
