Analyst believes Steelers got a steal with Aaron Rodgers $13,650,000 contract

Aaron Rodgers has finally joined the Pittsburgh Steelers. After months of speculation, he signed a one-year contract worth $13.65 million with $10 million guaranteed on Friday. An NFL analyst believes that the veteran is worth every cent.

On Monday’s edition of “Breakfast Ball,” Danny Parkins said Rodgers is more proven that Cam Ward and Daniel Jones. He added that from a financial standpoint, the Steelers got a bargain on the four-time MVP.

“I don’t think that this is going to work,” Parkins said. “I think he will bring the circus with him, but just on a pure financial standpoint, yeah, right, that’s inarguable because he played 17 games last year.

“He had 28 touchdowns. A lot of it was in garbage time, and he was not great in the clutch. We’ve gone over all of it ad nauseam, but he’s more proven than Cam Ward. He’s better than Daniel Jones.”

Mason Rudolph refused to flinch after the Steelers sign Aaron Rodgers

Aaron Rodgers‘ arrival in Pittsburgh has greatly affected Mason Rudolph, who will become the veteran’s backup. Rudolph was expected to be the starter in case the franchise failed to bring Rodgers onboard.

Rudolph was at PNC Park on Saturday to watch the Pittsburgh Pirates play, and talked about potentially playing behind Rodgers.

“I had a feeling they were going to bring somebody in,” Rudolph said, via Steelers Now. “Obviously, Aaron was at the forefront of the conversation for a long time. It won’t change my approach.

“We’ve got one more week of practice coming up, our mandatory minicamp. It will be nice to get everybody in the building. I’ll keep doing what I’ve done my whole career. I’ve had plenty of adversity and found a way to battle through it. I stayed ready to play well when called upon.”

With Rodgers at the helm, Steelers fans expect the team to make a playoff run next season.
