Jaire Alexander’s time in Green Bay is coming to an end.
The Packers will be releasing the veteran cornerback, Ian Rapoport of NFL Network reported on Monday.
Green Bay explored trading Alexander earlier in the off-season, and the two sides discussed a restructuring of the seven-year veteran’s contract, Rapoport added.
Now, Alexander will become a free agent two months before training camps open.
The 28-year-old is a two-time Pro Bowl corner but has been slowed by injuries in recent years. In 2024, he appeared in only seven games after suffering a knee injury that ultimately required surgery. In the games he did play, he collected just 16 tackles, the fewest of any season in his career.
