The Indiana Pacers are now just two wins away from being named NBA champions.
They have been ridiculously competitive against the Oklahoma City Thunder and have again proven they are the real deal.
So, if they win, who will be named Finals MVP?
Speaking on “Get Up,” Alan Hahn had a bold take.
“If the Pacers win the championship, whoever is named Finals MVP, should hand the trophy to Rick Carlisle because he right now, is the real MVP,” Hahn said.

Hahn noted that Carlisle has been here before, leading an underdog team far into the playoffs.
Back when he was coaching the Dallas Mavericks, few people thought they had what it took to become champions.
Yes, many fans believed in them, but they weren’t sure they could go all the way.
That is exactly what the Mavericks did, and the Pacers could do it themselves this year.
Carlisle is comfortable being counted out and has won 40 games as a playoff underdog.
Can he win just two more with the Pacers?
Carlisle has done a lot during his team’s chase for a championship, including making some important adjustments and getting the best of the Thunder.
In fact, his coaching has been so impressive that OKC has had to change how they approach the game, something that rarely ever happens.
The Pacers are filled with great players who are capable of many things, but the team wouldn’t be in the position they are in now if it weren’t for Carlisle.
He may not be able to claim Finals MVP, but there is no doubt he’s a vital part of this team.
